Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Corsa Werks website, accounts, memberships, and content (together, the “Service”). By creating an account, purchasing a membership, or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

Who we are

The Service is operated by Corsa Werks (“Corsa Werks,” “we,” “us”), an independent documentary studio. You can reach us at info@corsawerks.com.

Eligibility

The Service is intended for adults. You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority where you live, to create an account or purchase a membership. By using the Service you represent that you meet this requirement.

Your account

Some features require a Corsa Werks account. We use passwordless sign-in, so access to your account depends on access to your email. You are responsible for keeping your email secure and for activity that happens under your account. Provide accurate information and keep it current. You may delete your account at any time from your account page.

Memberships and billing

• Subscriptions. Paid memberships are recurring subscriptions that renew automatically at the interval and price shown at checkout, until you cancel. Free accounts are not charged.
• Payment. Payments are processed by our payment provider, Stripe. By subscribing, you authorize us, through Stripe, to charge your payment method on a recurring basis. We do not receive or store your full card details.
• Price changes. We may change membership prices. If we do, the new price applies to your next renewal, and we will give you reasonable notice beforehand.
• Taxes. Prices may not include applicable taxes, which will be added where required.

Cancellation and refunds

You can cancel your membership at any time from your account or the billing portal. When you cancel, your membership stays active through the end of the period you have already paid for, and then does not renew. Because memberships provide immediate access to digital content, payments are generally non-refundable except where required by law. We may, at our discretion, issue a refund in individual cases.

Member content and your license

Membership grants you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access member content for your own personal, non-commercial use. Where a membership tier includes downloadable files (for example full-quality “Master” film files), those downloads are licensed for your personal use only. You may not redistribute, publicly perform, resell, sublicense, or share member content or your account, and you may not attempt to circumvent any access controls. Your license ends when your membership ends.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Share, resell, or transfer your account or member content.
• Copy, scrape, or systematically download the Service except as expressly allowed.
• Circumvent, disable, or interfere with security or access-control features.
• Use the Service to break the law or infringe anyone’s rights.

Intellectual property

The Service and its content, including films, footage, photography, text, graphics, and the Corsa Werks name and marks, are owned by Corsa Werks or its licensors and are protected by intellectual-property laws. Except for the license described above, nothing in these Terms transfers any rights to you.

Third-party services

The Service relies on third parties such as Stripe (payments), Supabase (accounts), Vercel (hosting), and YouTube (where films are hosted for free viewing). Your use of those services may be subject to their own terms. We are not responsible for third-party services.

Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Corsa Werks will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data or profits, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.

Changes to the Service and these Terms

We may change or discontinue parts of the Service, and we may update these Terms. If we make material changes, we will update the date above and, where appropriate, notify you. Continuing to use the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.

Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms or use the Service in a way that could harm us or others.

Merchandise and physical goods

We sell physical merchandise through a store powered by Shopify. Orders are placed on our site and payment is taken at a Shopify-hosted checkout on shop.corsawerks.com. By placing an order you also agree to our Shipping and Returns terms, which cover delivery, returns, and refunds for physical items.

Prices are shown in US dollars and may change at any time before you place an order. Sales tax is calculated at checkout where it applies. We ship within the United States only. Where an item is listed in error, at an obviously incorrect price, or is unavailable after you order, we may cancel the order and refund you in full.

Title and risk of loss pass to you when the carrier delivers the order to the address you gave at checkout. Physical merchandise is separate from membership: cancelling a membership does not affect an order already placed, and returning an item does not change your membership.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas and the United States, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute will be handled in the courts located there, unless applicable law requires otherwise.
