Not merch. Not memorabilia.
An Artifact is a connection to racing through Corsa Werks. It's represented by time, effort, and design, spoken in the language of racing. It's our way of respecting the sport we call home.
"Crown" Artifacts are highly unique, extremely rare, and cannot be purchased. Each one is made by hand at Corsa Werks. They are generally tied to an event or circuit, but can also be tied to anything else — a driver, a car, a moment.
These Artifacts must be earned through a "Pursuit."
Laurel and Mark Artifacts are more accessible, and give anyone who wants one a way to own a piece of the Artifact Project.
Three tiers of Artifact. One is earned. Two are within reach of anyone who wants in.
Reverse revealed when coin is located
Locating a Crown Artifact is the result of working through a series of challenges more successfully and quicker than others. Sometimes it's mental, sometimes it's a puzzle, and other times you have to be at the right place at the right time. With AI these days, the latter will be used more than most. Riddles and locations, code and cryptography, are all going to be present during the Pursuit.
The next coin is being made. Race selected. Material chosen. When it's hidden, the only way to know where is to be paying attention.
A permanent record. Every coin and slab ever made by Corsa Werks, where it went, whether it was found, and what race it came from. The archive grows with each release.
The Artifact Project was born out of a love for craft. We didn't know anything about metal or how to work it before we started. We spent time late in the evenings and on the weekends playing and tinkering in a friend's metal shop, learning how to and how not to operate everything.
We fell in love with the freedom to craft things via the lathe and the mill, among other metal tools. The laser was icing on the cake, and we just had to have one to give our shapes real character.
Being able to design something on the computer and then see it in the physical, worked onto an object that we spent hours and hours on, was very rewarding.
The way we share what we've learned became "The Artifact Project."

Every verified find is logged in The Archive permanently. The discovery becomes part of the artifact's permanent record.
