Artifact Project / Type 02

The Slabs

Larger. More labor-intensive. Not hidden. Not public.
Given directly to people who are inside the story.

The Object

A slab is not a trophy. It is not an award. It is a physical acknowledgment that someone was part of something that happened.

Each slab is machined at Corsa Werks, milled, engraved, finished by hand. They are larger and more labor-intensive than coins. The scale of the object reflects the weight of what it represents.

Slabs carry the specific details of what they commemorate, the race, the role, the name. They are not general. They are not decorative. They are specific to a person and a moment.

Key Distinctions
Not hidden, given directly, in person where possible
Not publicly distributed, there is no list of recipients
Not applied for, you don't pursue a slab, it finds you
Specific to a person and a moment, not general recognition

The Criteria

Who Receives a Slab

There is no formal process. A slab is given when the judgment is clear, when someone has contributed to the story in a way that deserves a permanent, physical acknowledgment.

People Inside the Film
Engineers, mechanics, drivers, team principals, the people whose work and lives are the subject of the documentary. A slab is the physical artifact of their inclusion in a Corsa Werks story.
Meaningful Contributors
Individuals who have made a direct, significant contribution to the project, not as transaction but as partnership. The kind of contribution that doesn't appear in a credits list but that shapes the work.
People Who Move the Brand Forward
Those who have opened doors, made introductions, created access, or moved Corsa Werks forward in ways that don't have a conventional description. The network is built with these objects, not words.
The Judgment Call
Ultimately, a slab goes where the decision is obvious. If the judgment is unclear, the slab isn't made. Every slab given is one that didn't require deliberation, it was clear before the machine was started.

Coins vs. Slabs

Two artifact types. One project. The distinction is in how they move and who they reach.

The Coins, Type 01
Discovery.
The public layer.
Made for a specific race. Hidden at the circuit. Found through a multi-stage Pursuit. The value is the Pursuit, the discovery, and the story of how the coin got there. Anyone paying close enough attention has a chance to find one.
The Coins →
The Slabs, Type 02
Recognition.
The inner circle.
Made for a specific person. Given directly, not hidden, not public. The value is the acknowledgment it carries and the specificity of who receives it. You cannot pursue a slab. You cannot apply. It is given when the judgment is clear.
